Ashford Visual Artists
AVA is an association of professional visual artists connected with the Borough of Ashford and rural surrounding areas. Founded in 1999, AVA aims to develop the practice and appreciation of the visual arts in the region by promoting exhibitions and events. Members open their studios to the public, hold workshops and work in schools on art projects. AVA seeks to assist, encourage and support associate members to become professional in their practice. AVA group exhibitions have been held recently in Ashford, Whitstable and Folkestone and are keen to share their enthusiasm for the arts, engaging with a wide audience.

Our aims are to promote the arts in the Ashford and wider areas of Kent to encourage an interest and excitement and foster a desire to engage in the arts through making and displaying works of art. The Association has been around since the late 90’s and our artists create contemporary work in the fields of painting, photography, video, graphics, textiles, installation, sculpture, metalwork, jewellery, furniture design, printmaking and other media.
