Fiona Taylor
As a ceramic artist, my conceptual work has explored the opposing forces of control and randomness and ideas concerning memory. There is always a fascination with the enduring nature of fired clay and the information historical remnants bring to the present. This work feeds into pieces for the home, which combine the qualities of art and utensil. I studied Fine Art at Highlands Art College in Jersey and at the University for Creative Arts in Canterbury and I have exhibited in Jersey and in Kent, including The Beaney in Canterbury and Smallhythe Gallery in Tenterden. Currently working at Turner Contemporary art gallery in Margate as an Artist Educator. I also work freelance, designing and delivering art workshops for the public and for schools. |
