Emma Dove

I have lived in Kent for over 25 years and worked in art and design since leaving college. Painting and printmaking in my studio at home in Kingsnorth, I am inspired by nature and the countryside that surrounds me. I admire the work of David Hockney, Brian Cook, Cyril Power, Max Angus and Robert Gillmor, and I am often drawn to landscapes, water and interesting skies. I enjoy experimenting with patterns, textures and layers of colour to add detail and impact to my pieces. 

My work has been exhibited at various events around the South East, including South East Open Studios and Henley Royal Regatta Exhibition, and it is now shown at the Avocet Gallery in Rye. Other projects include the Ashford Snowdog Arts Trail, Anonymous heART Project (Heart Research UK) and the Woods to Where Else Project (Stour Valley Creative Partnership), in addition to regular freelance design and illustration commissions.
