I started at a young age and spent hours drawing and copying birds from books. I think it was the encouragement I received from others; plus, routine practice that made me love drawing. This enjoyment extended to patterns and colour and led me down the path to take a degree in printed textile design at Central School of Art, London. This was followed by a period working in London and Italy before becoming a consultant to several large textile companies. Now I am a working artist and photographer, who organizes art events while running 3 lessons per week at my studio. My vision is to create beautiful pieces of work, to inspire others to be creative. To spread an understanding that we can all draw, paint or create, through art. Anyone engaging in the process of making can grow and develop an inner well-being. Hence, I pass on the knowledge and skills I have acquired over the years to my students so they may evolve their skills and appreciation for the arts while making long supportive friendships. Notwithstanding, I also actively continue to learn new techniques and expand my practice. |
