AVA Membership
Each year, AVA Members elect a committee, which administers the Association.
FULL MEMBERSHIP is open to individual professional artists (18 years or over) who are committed to producing, selling and / or exhibiting artwork. Full Members are invited to participate in meetings and activities and all group exhibitions. They receive regular information and have full voting rights. Full Membership is based on selection by committee members. Fee: £25.00.
A FRIEND OF AVA is any person with an interest in the visual arts, and a desire to support the Association and its objectives. You and your family will be invited to all exhibitions and events. Fee: £5.00
All Membership runs from 01 April to 31 March each year.
AVA promotes equality of opportunity.
We consider applications that include an Art CV and sample pictures of current work. Also as part of an ongoing professional practice, other aspects will be acknowledged, such as internet presence, i.e. website, online galleries participation etc., exhibitions and fairs you have taken part in and any other activity that you feel enhances your artistic engagement, i.e. workshops and training, you have recently attended. The Ashford Visual Artists meet 4 times throughout the year to discuss ideas and projects that members are taking part in or opportunities that members would like to offer to the group as part of group projects.
After your application has been received and considered, an informal meeting is arranged to discuss your work, and your goals as a member of the Ashford Visual Artists.
